What is included is the Hygiene only Private Plan?

    Option 1

£25.50 for 4 x 30-minute appointments with our hygienist for a cosmetic scale and polish.

The scaler uses water to remove the tarter (or the hard deposits stuck to the tooth).

Finished with a traditional polish which can remove some smaller amounts of staining.

    Option 2

£30 for 4 x 40-minute appointments with our hygienist for a cosmetic scale and polish including Airflow.

The scaler uses water to remove the tarter (or the hard deposits stuck to the tooth).

Airflow is a hygiene treatment that removes persistent stains on your teeth, plaque and discolouration using a combination of water,
compressed air and fine powder particles.

These three components are combined in a high-powered jet which gently removes stains from your teeth including
hard to reach areas as well as biofilm from above and below the gum line.

What’s the difference between NHS and a private scale and polish?

NHS cleaning is designed to ensure gum health and treat whatis clinically necessary

eg gum disease and not to specifically remove all stains or for cosmetic reasons.

Do I need to see a dentist?

    No

Dental hygienists and dental therapists can carry out their full scope of practice

(except tooth whitening) without needing a prescription from a dentist.

Our dental hygienist and therapists work along-side our dentists, providing joint-care for our patients. There are very rare circumstances when they cannot start treatment, and before they prepare to continue, they may require a dentist to assess you.

This may relate to your medical history and general health or condition of your mouth which gives them concern.

Do I need to be a registered patient of the practice?

No, however, if our hygienist or therapist identify areas of concern or when treatment is required that is out of their scope of practice
they will recommend you book an appointment with a dentist.

If you are not a current NHS patient of our practice, you may book in as a private patient.

    Referral to a dentist

In some cases, a patient may require a referral to a dentist.

In all cases, the need for referral will be explained to the patient and their consent obtained.

Will I be able to get a family discount?

Yes, we will offer a 5% family discount from monthly payment for relatives living at the same address.

Can I book an examination and hygienist visit at the sametime?

Yes, if you have received your dental recall to book in foryour routine examination you may book this at the same time. If you are not a current NHS patient, a private exam may be booked at the same time. Payment is required upon booking for a private exam.

Will we be offering refunds for unexpected events (eg. apandemic)?

    Yes

If the practice is forced to stop seeing patients in person by any national or local guidance we will be

offering a reduced payment or option to suspend your monthly fee.
